GOD'S LOVE SHONE THROUGH

WHEN WE LOOK TO GOD for help, His love is always bigger than any difficulty we could possibly face! Dark thoughts of anxiety and bleak prospects cannot become overwhelming when we remember that because we are one with God, He will guide and protect us. And we can become fearless in this assurance.

I learned firsthand that nothing I need is or ever will be missing. I'm whole, complete, and abundantly blessed by God. I found, too, that strength and comfort come from accepting that God controls my life — including the day-to-day details. He is the source of my strength and wisdom, and of my ability to find solutions, whatever the situation.

After 25 years of what I thought was a secure and loving marriage, I found it necessary to divorce my husband. All at once I needed to find housing and a job, after not having worked for 21 years. I was filled with fear, and the shocking set of circumstances leading to the divorce kept replaying in my thoughts. I had no idea how I would go forward. All financial resources were gone. All attempts to find full-time employment were unsuccessful. The future looked uncertain, to say the least.
