'Love will never leave you'
Movies, television, and mass media portray romantic love in such a grandiose way that it's easy to fall into the trap of making a big quest out of looking for love—and then feeling incomplete when you can't find it.
Last fall, after my boyfriend and I had broken up, I found myself thinking: I absolutely must find a boyfriend. All my friends are dating someone. I feel so alone.
For the two years we'd dated in college, my boyfriend and I had spent all our free time together, so my life changed a lot when we broke up. Since I'd been raised in Christian Science, it felt natural to pray about some of the thoughts I was struggling with. I also wanted to gain a totally fresh perspective on love and relationship. So I trusted that prayer would bring healing, a sense of peace, and a deeper understanding of God and my relationship to Him.
