'I OPTED FOR RELYING ON GOD'
Originally published in O Arauto da Ciência Cristã
I proved that "trials are proofs of God's care" (Science and Health, p. 66) when a lump grew under my arm.
I lived with this difficulty for a year. But then the lump reached an alarming size and started to hurt a lot. It looked so ugly that I stopped wearing sleeveless shirts, so as not to shock people.
My family began to insist that I take a firm stand in healing this condition and that I should choose between medical treatment and Christian Science. I was very afraid and wanted to be healed.
