What do you know about the Sermon on the Mount?
One time, a big crowd came to hear Jesus talk. He went up on a mountain to be able to see them all. And what he taught them that day was later called the Sermon on the Mount. It became the most important teaching of Christianity. In Science and Health Mary Baker Eddy, the Discoverer of Christian Science, said, "The Sermon on the Mount is the essence of this Science ..." (p. 271)–that means it makes it what it is.

My first healing from my own prayers
I went to horseback riding camp for a week with a friend. The first day there, my eyes were watering, I had a runny nose, and my eyes itched like crazy. I didn't like it at all! So I prayed.
I asked God to help me. I know God is Love, and He will help me and everyone. I know God loves me and would never give me allergies. God is good, so He did not make me allergic to horses. Horses are God's ideas. And God's ideas are good. They can't bring hurt.
Every night I prayed more and more. I was not afraid. And each day things got better until the last day I had no reactions at all when I was with horses!
In Sunday School, I've been learning about God's laws by studying the Ten Commandments and the Sermon on the Mount. Before I went to camp, my teacher asked us in class to use what we know about God's laws to heal to help ourselves and other people. So when I told my Sunday School teacher about my healing at camp, she asked if I thought it was proof of any of God's laws. I said absolutely!
I think my healing shows how I applied Commandment #1: "Thou shalt have no other gods before me" (Ex. 20:3). If I was afraid of horses or allergies, I would be believing in other powers or another god, instead of putting God first.
I think I also proved Beatitude #6, which goes like this: "Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God" (Matt. 5:8). Because I listened to God, I had to be healed.
I was really glad, and also really happy! This is my first healing on my own, from my own prayers.
