Meetings that change lives

When my husband and I first got married, he was very clear. "I may go to church with you sometimes," he told me, "but I'll never be a Christian Scientist!" And that would have been OK ... except it didn't turn out that way.

Barely a year into our marriage, Talbot began having Christian Science healings—of business and financial problems, chronic headaches, and much more. A couple of years later, he became a member of The Mother Church and the branch Church of Christ, Scientist, we attended. The next year he took Primary class instruction in Christian Science.

What changed his mind? His natural spirituality had a lot to do with it, and his touching desire to have our family worship together. But there was something else that changed his mind about Christian Science: the Wednesday testimony meetings.
