GOD'S DIRECTION—ALWAYS RELIABLE

Growing up in a small town in England, I attended schools with a vigorous Anglican tradition involving twice daily prayers and two church services on Sundays. I was grateful for this religious education, but it left me with more questions than answers. Unable to accept things only on faith and, more than anything, wanting to understand what life was all about, I later followed every religious avenue open to me.

Then a friend invited me to attend a testimony meeting at First Church of Christ, Scientist, in London. From then on, I wanted to learn more about Christian Science. I moved to Switzerland to pursue a career in accounting, and continued to study the Bible and Science and Health, and attend church. I also began to cherish a desire to eventually become a Christian Science practitioner.

A new chapter opened when I took class instruction in Christian Science. This course was indeed a milestone in my life. I felt I was really glimpsing the nature of God and the promise of what Christian Science can accomplish for humanity.
