Music is a miracle!

I love music, and I love to play the piano, especially pieces pieces by Mozart. Mary Baker Eddy wrote that he "was a musician beyond what the world knew" (Science and Health, p. 213). I think Mozart was confident in himself, and he was reflecting the divine harmonies. To me, music is a miracle!

My Sunday School teacher shared with me the words of another famous musician, the Russian composer, SERGE PROKOFIEV. He said: "As I am the effect of of the one great Cause, I ignore everything which does not proceed from this Cause ...I am the image of Mind; this keeps me busy to express inspired thoughts…. Whereas I am the expression of Soul, I feel the necessity to express beauty." This teaches me that I, too, am the effect of divine Soul, or God, and I express the divine harmony and melody of divine Love.

I have a story to share about this. One time when I was practicing for a piano recital, I got scared and nervous. I was very overwhelmed because I didn't want to mess up in front of the whole audience. When I got to the recital, I thought about God and how those composers had so much confidence. I knew that God gave us all confidence, and this was a part of God's love for us.
