Prepared for change

Everyone loves a story about someone's life being turned around for the better. I know I do. As an editor here at the Sentinel, I get an opportunity to read, almost daily, wonderful accounts of real–life transformations our readers have experienced and taken the time to send us. "What better job could one have?" I often wonder.

Some of the experiences tell of little, everyday turnarounds, similar to the one a friend told me she experienced with the thought that she needed to appreciate her husband more, as she was praying about a family situation. Others are visibly life–altering, such as those you'll read about in this week's issue, as told by Charles Babb, Emily Byquist, and Everlyn Nyadenya.

Of course, one of the most well–known personal turnarounds in human history was that of the Apostle Paul—former persecutor of Christians, who was transformed into peacemaker and Christian healer. The fact that Paul (then Saul) was able to hear the Christ speaking to him on the road to Damascus, years after Jesus lived, has always intrigued and inspired me.
