I WAS A FRESHMAN IN COLLEGE, LIVING ON MY OWN, JUST AS I HAD PLANNED.

But I wasn't happy.

I had talked my parents into letting me go to college away from home. They wanted me to attend a local college and live at home the first two years, and then go to the school of my choice. But I thought I'd be missing out on something if I stayed home. Instead, by moving away, I was missing my parents, my boyfriend, and, well, my home.
