ANYONE CAN BE A HEALER
MY LIFE'S WORK
TAKING CHRISTIAN SCIENCE PRIMARY CLASS INSTRUCTION moved me to want to help others with prayer. I'd been studying Christian Science for about nine years when a friend asked, "Why don't you take that class on spiritual healing?" I knew there was such a class, but I was busy raising three, four, then five, then six children—the youngest just two years old. Also, we had just settled in a new town, and my husband in a new job.
Everyone I knew who had taken the class exuded enthusiasm and gratitude for it—whichever teacher they had—so I knew it was important. But I did wonder if it could be as grand as they said. I found a teacher, however, worked out child-care arrangements, and took the class.
I loved every minute! It was the most inspiring two weeks of my life. And there was no doubt in my mind: Helping others with what I had learned about spiritual healing was my mission. I didn't really make the decision—it simply felt natural.
