"ONCE A WEEK, a group of women [in Bonaire, Georgia] spend an hour praying for their children.... The group is called Moms In Touch, and it is part of a national organization that promotes mothers to pray on a regular basis for children and schools. The goal of Moms In Touch is to have a prayer group for every school in the world.
"Ruth White, who leads the Bonaire group, was inspired to begin praying for her children after reading a book, When Mothers Pray, which relates story after story of mothers praying for their children....
"'The remarkable thing to me is the Moms In Touch "way" of praying. Rather than discussing prayer requests and answers to prayer, and praying for a short time afterward, the hour is spent, from beginning to end, in prayer,' explained White. 'Certainly, praying is not new, but praying effectively in a group requires having a plan, and Moms In Touch has forged a clear path toward making group prayer a very effective and powerful time indeed'....
