PAIN AND SELF-DOUBT YIELD TO PRAYER

Ever since Christian Science came into my life almost 30 years ago, I've been grateful for the wonderful insights I've gained into my true spiritual nature, and for many physical healings.

About a year ago, a serious condition arose which further tested my faith in God's healing power. My wife and I had decided to attend a creative arts program at a Christian Science camp in the early fall, which started on Wednesday and ended the following Sunday. Because of my interest in poetry as an art form, I had signed up for a poetry course. Earlier in the year, I had attempted to do a little poetry writing, but it was all quite new to me.

On the day we traveled to the program, I began to experience pain and great difficulty moving both my arms and legs. Although I was able to take part in the daily activities, I hobbled along slowly and had trouble with even simple tasks such as tying my shoes, getting in and out of bed, and sleeping comfortably.
