A CONTINUING SERIES ON HOW CHURCH IS ACTIVE IN PEOPLE'S LIVES

CHURCH LIVES

My way to contribute

As a young man serving in the French army, one day I was walking in the town of Pau, in southern France, when I spotted in a window a book that was underlined in several places. It was a Christian Science Reading Room, and that was how I discovered the book—the one in the window—Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy. I began reading it that day and studied it for many more years. However, it wasn't until nearly 16 years later that I made the decision to start attending church services regularly.

The organization of the church helped me see how to become more spiritually disciplined and organized myself.
