I BELIEVE A SPIRITUALLY SCIENTIFIC VIEW OF THE WEATHER CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE
PRAY ABOUT THE WEATHER?
The recent string of hurricanes off the Atlantic Ocean—and predictions that a cycle of extreme weather conditions may be on the rise—indicate that taking a fresh look at how we view the weather may be in order.
In the midst of normal day-by-day weather conditions, how people think of the weather may seem simply to be a matter of personal choice. Either you like today's weather, or you don't. Either you derive pleasure from it, or you see it as an inconvenience. In either case, people tend to regard the weather as a combination of atmospheric conditions they can't do much about, except to expose themselves to it when they like it and stay out of it as much as possible when they don't.
Such a nonchalant attitude quickly caves in, though, when a tornado cuts a swath of destruction through a heavily populated area. Then, those who are victims of such weather, as well as many others who are concerned for their welfare, reach out in prayer for something beyond themselves and the earth's atmosphere for assurance, guidance, and shelter.
