Infected finger healed in prayer
As a mother of three and grandmother of eight, my hands and arms have always been fully occupied. But I didn't realize just how much I use my hands until a few months ago when I lost the use of one of them.
For no apparent reason—apart from a small mark that could have been a sting of some sort—the middle finger of my right hand began to swell and was extremely painful. Within a day, it was alarmingly misshapen and virtually useless, with all the signs of a serious infection.
I wrapped a loose bandage around the infected hand and continued as best I could with my household and family duties, which included some heavy lifting, cleaning, and cooking. But these tasks became increasingly difficult for me. Because of the restriction this caused to my hand, I felt it was unwise to drive my car.
