I would like to express the profound joy that I felt upon reading the article regarding the evangelist Nicky Cruz in the December 9 Sentinel. I grew up attending various fullgospel churches in the Washington, D.C., area. I had the opportunity to hear Mr. Cruz preach at various churches when I was a young teenager. His ministry deeply impacted my life.

Even as a kid, perhaps especially because I was a child, I knew Cruz to be a true messenger of truth. His message was and is very dynamic—a receptive heart experience deep and profound emotional changes upon hearing it; however, this emotionalism was not a temporary high. For me it reflected a transformed heart that has stayed with me for a lifetime. Marilyn Jones's article accurately depicted Nicky Cruz as an evangelist in the spirit of St. Paul.

Almost a decade ago I became a student of Christian Science; however, the full-gospel spirit has never left me. In fact, exposure to Science and Health has only intensified my full-gospel experience. I can remember the first time I read Science and Health and discovered what a radical full-gospel (and I do mean full-gospel) evangelist Mary Baker Eddy was. I cannot describe the intensity of my emotional experience upon reading the book for the first time and being struck by the light of truth.
