In LOVE with the refrigerator?
Discussion with a dietitian, author, and public speaker
There Are People Out There who love their refrigerator more than they love God," says Gwen Shamblin. "I don't use the word balance a lot, although it's a term I understand. What I say is, 'Put God first.'
"I believe the reason why Americans are 61 percent overweight and children's obesity has doubled in the last seven years is a basic problem called greed. Americans want more, and there's a new-found alarm and a fear that this is an epidemic that's unstoppable."
Gwen, who lives with her husband and two children in Nashville, Tennessee, is a registered dietitian, who has focused on weight control for more than 20 years.
