Vision corrected, burns healed
Original in Spanish
At the time I found out about Christian Science, I was feeling very discouraged. I had little work and was afraid of everything. One day a client came to my hairdresser's shop, and as I told her my problems, she spoke to me about God and about His supreme power. The best thing, though, was that she lent me Science and Health.
I started to read it that very night, with a lot of enthusiasm, and it was as if a heaven I never knew existed was opening up to me. As a result, the first thing I noticed was that I had been reading for a long time without my glasses. Since childhood I had been nearsighted, more in one eye that in the other, and had no alternative but to wear contact lenses. But I couldn't have them in for very long. I had difficulty reading because the lines would run into each other, and I got severe headaches.
I realized that I had been reading for a long time without any problem. As described in the healing accounts that make up the last chapter of Science and Health, reading the book had healed me. I've never worn lenses since, and whenever I feel ill, I read this book and everything returns to normal.
