Through a spiritual lens—IN MY FATHER'S EYES
Two such as you with such a master speed
Cannot be parted nor be swept away
From one another once you are agreed
That life is only life forevermore
Together wing to wing and oar to oar.
—Robert Frost
Capturing an emotion in 1/500 of a second always seems like a miracle to me. But it's out of the millions of slivers of seconds that I choose a precious few slices to print the memories of my life. It's from the same moments that I direct the path of my future.
I see two things in my father's eyes: his love for his wife and the joy it gives him to have her in his life. I believe everything is possible with love. I saw its power countless times as I grew up in his household. As a result, I see it every single day in my own marriage.
