A look at the unpublished writings of Mary Baker Eddy

In September 2002, The Mary Baker Eddy Library for the Betterment of Humanity will open its doors. For the rest of this year, the Sentinel will bring readers selections from the Library's previously unpublished collection of materials.

Mary Baker Eddy wrote this letter in December 1903 to her students Dr. Alfred and Anna Baker. Dr. Baker was a former homeopath, and while he and Mrs. Eddy shared the surname of Baker, they apparently were not otherwise related, although on occasion Mrs. Eddy affectionately referred to him as "Cousin."
