"What play—stage or screen—exists that we call 'great' that has nothing to teach us? And when acting is done right—when it is true and skillfully executed—not only does it teach us, acting becomes healing and the theater becomes a church, mosque, or synagogue."

"Our occupations are spiritual workshops for our individual spiritual growth. Knowing this gives us permission to follow our hearts' desires; it explains why following our hearts isn't selfish. We are obeying the impulses of our God that exist to guide us along our pathways of learning."
