A father thanks God
Original in German
The spiritual laws of God's creation became clear to my wife and me while she was pregnant with our daughter. The experience gave us the opportunity to recognize His spiritual fatherhood and motherhood as the creative power. This was a direct help.
One day we were confronted with the following situation. The doctor my wife had gone to during her pregnancy told her that the baby was wrongly positioned in the womb. He didn't give us much hope for an easy delivery.
My wife and I had learned to turn to God in prayer with all our problems. So that's what we did in this case, too. We also asked an experienced Christian Scientist to pray with us. During all this I came across this sentence in Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures by Mary Baker Eddy: "The great truth in the Science of being, that the real man was, is, and ever shall be perfect, is incontrovertible; for if man is the image, reflection, of God, he is neither inverted nor subverted, but upright and Godlike" (p. 200).
