"I PRAY FOR BALANCE"
Ekiyokere Diffa—or Eki, as she's known to her friends—is a Nigerian who received a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Science and Business Administration from Principia College, did graduate work in Environmental Management at Tufts University, and earned a Master's in Environmental Assessment and Evaluation from the London School of Economics. She is now working as an environmental policymaker for the United Nations Global Program of Action in The Hague. We asked Eki how she prays about the environment.
I like looking at environmental issues from the perspective of God and knowing that all things were made harmoniously. Looking at nature in its true sense, so to speak.
I remember the first time I went into a class at Tufts dealing with environmental risk, such as cancer-causing agents. It was a shock for me, and I had to pray about it.
