FORGIVENESS—FIRST AND FOREMOST IT'S FOR THE VICTIM
Calvin DeLano is United States citizen who has lived in Israel since 1982. He is married to an Israeli woman and works as a laboratory technician at Hebrew University. He was recently featured on Sentinel Radio. For an expanded account of Mr. DeLano's experiences in Israel, see " How I pray for peace in the Middle East, " in the February 12, 2001, Sentinel.
I've been in Israel since March of 1982. Sometimes when you are going out of your home, you are wondering whether you will be coming back again because of the bombings that have been taking place recently. So I attempt every day to see the fact of everyone's spiritual being.
Once I was driving along the route I always drove at that time, which took me through an area of buses Palestinians used to go to their homes outside of Jerusalem. And as I went by, the car was hit by several stones, and one stone about the size of a baseball came crashing through the window on the passenger side.
