YOUR LETTERS
Reading the April 2 Sentinel article "A spiritual renaissance," where two sociologists were interviewed about their discovery of a new social group, the "cultural creatives," filled my heart with hope and joy. I consider myself part of this movement. The article took some major steps toward uncovering what today's new spiritual movement looks like and how we can all better connect to it.
I have a lot of friends who are engaged in spiritual practices very similar to my own as a Christian Scientist. The ideas in the Sentinel could be very helpful to them, but I've hesitated in sharing it with them because of all the perceived denominational baggage they believe comes with it. The article has convinced me that this publication can unite all "honest seekers for Truth" (Science and Health, p. xii) in a dialogue that all can understand and benefit from.
