YOUR LETTERS

Russ Gerber's editorial in the November 19 issue struck a chord with me. Last June, I flew from California to the Midwest. Across the aisle from me, a woman was reading her Bible. Behind me was a group of four teenage boys with their skateboards—and their Bibles. They were a team of "skateboarders for Christ" on their way to a tournament. They spent the flight reading and discussing one of St. Paul's epistles. Then, next to me, a woman was reading her Bible, too. After a while, we began to chat. I had just finished a Sentinel. One of the articles addressed the very questions my seatmate had, so I gave it to her. She read that article right away and asked where she could get her own copy.

How good it is to realize that the ancient truths in the Bible are being drawn upon today—perhaps more than ever before.
