Waking Life: mental motion pictured

Soon after we moved to Vermont about five years ago, an "indie" film crew camped on the town green across from our house for three weeks, taking over village life. As the production schedule fell apart, shooting gradually stretched later into the nights.

They also created a surreally bright midnight-sun effect in our living room. For those of us who were extras, simple realities like night and day, dinner and breakfast, merged into a disjointed, dreamlike state of flux.
