Rough going? Remember the ducks
How to have a really good day
With a heart filled with prayer and heavenly inspiration, trusting God becomes second nature.
We have a lake near our home where ducks and geese stay all year long. My husband and I often enjoy feeding them and watching them preen their feathers. Recently he explained to me that preening their feathers is not merely part of good grooming. The ducks are actually spreading oil on their feathers to protect their bodies from the water. Quite literally, this makes the water run off like "water off a duck's back," as the saying goes. The oil on their feathers enables them to stay afloat as well.
