Dear Sentinel

A year ago, I was jumping on my trampoline, and I landed wrong on my ankle. It started to hurt, so I yelled for my dad, and he carried me inside. I sat down on the couch and saw there was a big bump on my foot, which was swollen. I prayed to know that I was in God's care. My family prayed, too.

The next day I woke up and I tried to walk, but I fell. The rest of the day I didn't put much weight on my foot. I kept thinking of the truth that God's child couldn't get hurt, and that this meant me, because I am one of God's children.

At the time, I was on a ski racing team. My first day back on the mountain, a couple of weeks after I fell, my foot felt sore at the end of the day. My parents wondered if I should have the foot checked by a trainer to see if I should race the next day. As my mother and I waited at the ski resort, outside the doctor's office, an inspired thought came to both of us. We looked at each other, and we both realized that I really didn't need anything checked. I was already in God's arms, and I was just fine. So we went home.
