YOUR LETTERS
"I began reading them, one by one, from cover to cover."
A weekly visit from friends
We had just moved to a new community where I didn't know anyone. I missed my friends. I began to pray daily to open my thought to new expressions of friendship.
One day about a week later, when the Sentinel came in the mail, the thought came very clearly, "Why, that Sentinel represents that my friends have come to call." While reading the articles, I appreciated the kindness and love that prompted them. Their friendship was truly felt, meeting my need. It was important for me to take part in this sharing. After reading a paragraph, I would stop to think about what they had said and how it touched my experiences and insights. Each day was blessed by this precious time. I learned so much. A few months later we moved again. New and lasting friendships readily developed.
