Annual Meeting of The Mother Church will convene on Monday, June 5, at 1:30 p.m., in the Extension of The Mother Church. It will be held for "listening to the reports of Treasurer, Clerk, and Committees, and general reports from the Field" (Manual of The Mother Church, Art. XIII, Sect. 1). Thought continues to accelerate Spiritward, and this year's meeting will highlight the ways in which The Mother Church and its members are responding to humanity's spiritual quest. Reports by Church officers and from the Field will include a thoughtful look at the leavening effect Mary Baker Eddy's principal work, Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures, is having on science, theology, and medicine today. Activities are planned for the days surrounding Annual Meeting as well. On Sunday, June 4, regularly scheduled Church services will be held, an organ concert will be offered, and departments of The Mother Church will host open houses and special workshops. A presentation about Mary Baker Eddy will take place on Monday evening. During the day on Tuesday, June 6, biographers of Mary Baker Eddy will give talks about their books. Excerpts from Annual Meeting will appear in upcoming issues of The Christian Science Journal and in various editions of The Herald of Christian Science. All are welcome to attend Annual Meeting 2000.
Testimonies of healing are always welcome. Please be concise, and include only the important points necessary to illustrate how prayer resulted in healing.
It is helpful if you can include the names and addresses of three people who know of your healing or can vouch for your integrity so that we can contact them for written verifications or vouchers if your testimony is accepted for publication.
Enjoy 1 free Sentinel article or audio program each month, including content from 1898 to today.
