Complete healing following a fall
The week before Thanksgiving in 1997, I fell down a flight of concrete stairs in my office building. My first thought was, "I need someone." Immediately came the reassurance, God is right here!
When I sat up, I saw considerable blood where my head had landed. As I stood up, I found that one leg would not support me. Nevertheless, I managed to get back to my office, which was not far from the stairwell.
After leaving a message on my husband's answering machine, I called a Christian Science practitioner, who lovingly agreed to pray for me. The thought came that I would die from loss of blood. However, this was countered with the quiet but firm thought, "You don't live because of blood; you live because God is Life. And you, as God's reflection, cannot be separated from this divine Life."
