Prayer brings peace and healing
Recently, with changes imminent in my life, I was spending time each day studying the Bible and Mary Baker Eddy's book Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures. I loved learning from these books that there are spiritual laws that bring peace and harmony into our daily lives.
During this time, I noticed the beginnings of a painful rash around my waistline. I recalled that as a young woman away from home in my first job, I had experi enced similar symptoms. It had been weeks before the rash had finally faded. Years later it had occurred again. I was told that I had shingles and that the condition was probably brought on by stress. Medication relieved the pain, but the blisters took several weeks to fade.
This time, I immediately rejected the notion that I could be under stress. At no time could I be out of God's care. I did not have to feel concerned about my future plans. I knew that God's laws are unchanging and ever powerful.
