"Those seeking diligently to understand spirituality have common ground on which to stand and join with brothers and sisters of all religions."

Learning to be a good Christian, Catholic, Jew, Muslim, Hindu, or any of the many religions requires a lot of the student. I was pleased to read the insightful article "Learning to be a Christian" (December 13, 1999).

Those seeking diligently to understand spirituality have common ground on which to stand and join with brothers and sisters of all religions. My volunteer work in the state penal system as a Christian Science worker has shown me that the "hungering and thirsting" of any religion can be given the "cup" of healing. Christian Science has helped many to pray more effectively. Prayer is common to all religions. To use Science and Health by Mary Baker Eddy as a Bible commentary and study tool will bless any sincere student. I love her humble instruction to follow her "only so far as she follows Christ" (Message to The Mother Church for 1902, P. 4).
