The activity of stillness
rings through the woods—a winter glow—
as I, sitting on puddingstone,
hear its lessons, begin to know
how quiet hours reign in man's life,
and harmony becomes the norm.
Speaking to me, this hour dawns full
orbed in stillness—Life's active morn.
Patrick L. Flavin
