A fourth-grader talks about prayer
A Christian Science Sunday School class in Tacoma, Washington, was asked to write a description of prayer. This is one student's response.
In prayer, you might ask God for guidance in making an important choice. Or you might thank Him for providing your needs, for His love and forgiveness, and for making you feel better when you are sick. Prayer is a way of staying close to God. After we pray, we have to learn to listen to what He says. God answers our prayers all the time and in many different ways, though we may not always see His answer immediately. We have to learn to listen with our hearts. A wise person is one who prays many times each day.
