Take care of yourself
Daily prayer helps people feel buoyant and stay that way.
Do you take good care of yourself? When unresolved difficulties start to mount, it's time to take better care of ourselves—better spiritual care.
Spiritual care starts with prayer. Prayer leads to spiritual inspiration. And inspiration leads to spiritual understanding, which heals. In this way, challenges to one's progress are easier to overcome, answers to problems are forthcoming, conflicts are resolved, and pains go away. A spiritually enlightened view makes life a joy to live. Spiritual-mindedness keeps us healthy and happy. Prayer helps us feel our connectedness with the divine, where all is well.
There was a time when I felt overwhelmed by daily responsibilities and worldly concerns. I was frequently fighting headaches, which were sometimes severe. I was prospering in my work but found it difficult to maintain peace of mind. My health was deteriorating. I was not taking good care of myself. Something had to change.
