When Christian Science was presented to me, I embraced it immediately. I felt that the Christ had gently and tranquilly manifested itself in my life, bringing me calm and confidence. I had many experiences of healing and inspiration, but I wish to relate one which even today serves to sustain my confidence in God and in the teachings of Christian Science.

A few years ago, our daughter, who was then seven years old, left with her brothers and some friends to go bicycling. A few hours later our oldest son came running, saying that his little sister had had an accident and that her leg was badly injured. The boy was visibly upset.

I calmed his fear, saying that she was under God's care. I thanked God for the fact that the children already had some spiritual preparation, which they had received in the Christian Science Sunday School.
