One evening a few years ago I became increasingly uncomfortable to the point of distress. Because of pain in my abdomen and chest I couldn't sleep or even lie down comfortably.
I got out of bed and went downstairs so as not to disturb my wife and to be alone and pray. In the initial stages of my prayer, I continued to be uncomfortable and fearful for my well–being. My wife then came down from the bedroom, and I asked her for help.
We decided to telephone a Christian Science practitioner. Although this was around midnight or one o'clock in the morning, this alert and responsive woman responded to my need as soon as she answered the phone.
