I am grateful for a healing that took place while I was working in my garden. On my tipping the last barrow load of soil, weeds, and leaves into a large compost pit, the ground gave way, causing the barrow and me to fall into the pit. One side of my face hit a low tree branch, injuring the cheekbone. Fear of dire consequences filled my mind. I silently but forcefully said "stop" to such thoughts, remembering that God is the only cause. There is no room for accidents in God's allness. I could never be outside of divine Love's care. I am embraced in the ever–presence of God's love. With this realization came a beautiful sense of stillness and peace, and I no longer felt fear or pain.

As I cleaned up the wound, I recalled a statement from Science and Health: "Become conscious for a single moment that Life and intelligence are purely spiritual,—neither in nor ofmatter,—and the body will then utter no complaints. If suffering from a belief in sickness, you will find yourself suddenly well. Sorrow is turned into joy when the body iscontrolled by spiritual Life, Truth, and Love" (p. 14). I felt so joyous, jubilant, and grateful that I forgot the incident entirely while cooking dinner.
