Surely you've heard the Bible story about the parable of the prodigal son, haven't you? Like this son coming home to his father, so too I came home to the Father, and felt His warm love who puts "the best robe" on us and kills "the fatted calf" for us (see Luke 15:11–24).
Indeed, when I was still a child and in the second grade at school, I felt this warm love of the Father, which suddenly brought healing in my life. At that time I was suffering from asthma, and two or three times a week I would be at the doctor's office, hoping to be healed of this illness. I was unable to play freely like my siblings and my friends.
Thanks to God's love, my parents found Christian Science, and I immediately began attending Sunday School. I really enjoyed what the classes taught, about man being the image of God, perfect because God is perfect. After my family entered "the land of Christian Science" (Science and Health, pp. 226–227), and understood better how to pray, I was completely healed in a very short time. I was God's free child.
