A few years ago the speaker for our Christian Science Students Association...

A few years ago the speaker for our Christian Science Students Association meeting asked the members to contribute recent healings that could be included in his address. I very much wanted to do so, but I didn't have anything to share that I felt would do justice to the overall message. I was, however, praying earnestly for healing of a dental problem, and it occurred to me that such a healing would certainly be beneficial for everyone to hear.

While I was thinking about it, my brother and I had dinner together. Although he is a dentist, I had not shared the the problem with him. During the course of conversation, mostly about family, he asked me—right out of the blue—if I knew our father had had a certain dental problem. I had not known about it, and said so; but this was the same situation I was facing.

I resolved not to retire that evening until I had scientifically prayed for myself. I did so and felt a deep sense of peace. After a good sleep, I woke fully aware that I had been healed. My teeth were as though they were set in concrete, whereas before they had been quite loose. This has been a permanent healing. I was eager to share the healing with our speaker, and wrote him immediately. He replied promptly that my letter had arrived just at the point in his address preparation where he was discussing heredity. He couldn't have been more delighted to include the healing as part of his address, showing that hereditary physical problems do not have the power to withstand Christian Science treatment.
