Always employed
I had taught school for thirteen years and had a master's degree in education, but I was told that because of newly established requirements, I would have to go back to school for twenty-one hours of undergraduate credits before I could be certified to teach again.
My family was in desperate need for me to work, and for many months I felt frustrated, angry, and fearful. Feelings of uselessness engulfed me as I tried every conceivable way to obtain a teaching certificate and secure a job.
When I was just about to break under the weight of feeling worthless and personally responsible for the welfare of my family, I turned with all my heart to God. Inactivity and unemployment gave way, and I found work and fulfillment.
