When I lost hearing in one ear, my co-workers were quite supportive
When I lost hearing in one ear, my co-workers were quite supportive. But I felt embarrassed about asking others to repeat things to me. I spoke with a Christian Science practitioner, who prayed for me, and studied on my own also. I prayed to know more of what God was always knowing about me.
The first thing that came to me to do was "magnify good."
At first, I kept joking about the condition. I needed to learn not to joke or talk about this unless I had to explain myself to others; I should not be referring to the condition for sympathy or to get attention from others.
