The prime of life
"The measurement of life by solar years robs youth and gives ugliness to age."

Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures (p. 246)
The second part of that statement seems obvious enough. Considering a person's life to be confined within a short span of time and subject to inevitable decline would certainly give "ugliness to age." In the years after what is judged to be the so-called prime of life, is the whole of man subject to deterioration?
