Alive to God's promises
A Recent wave of heartrending media reports having to do with children presents them as perpetrators as well as victims of atrocities. Surely none of us can help feeling that something concrete must be done to protect children from society's ills. And it's more and more evident that traditional systems of justice are not the ultimate answer.
How could limited material resources ever be adequate to defend all children everywhere, every moment of the day and night, against the countless forms of evil that would beset them?
At times, the world's need for an all-powerful, all-wise, all-loving God who is Spirit becomes too apparent to be ignored. Where but in the infinitude of Spirit can be found the unlimited, constant, and powerful defense we seek?
