Long before I became a Christian Scientist I saw a few wonderful healings that I have remembered through the years.
My husband's brother and his Army partner were both infected with tuberculosis during World War I. Many of their friends said they prayed for them to die, so they would be relieved of their suffering. Two Christian Scientist relatives, however, prayed for healing, so they could live. After leaving the hospital and having Christian Science treatment, they were both healed, and able to work again. They became faithful Christian Scientists and lived many years.
Several years later I came home from work one evening feeling very sick. My husband called a doctor, and we went to the hospital, where I was diagnosed as having a glandular fever that was often fatal.
