Early one morning I was preparing to go to work in the Reading Rooms...
Early one morning I was preparing to go to work in the Reading Room that our church operates. I wasn't feeling very well, but went on. Then I felt very nauseated and dizzy. I felt I might faint. I picked up No and Yes by Mrs. Eddy. The statement on page 26—"In this Science of being, man can no more relapse or collapse from perfection, than his divine Principle, or Father, can fall out of Himself into something below infinitude"—stood out, and the nausea and dizziness left immediately. I was able to open the Reading Room at the appointed time.
We have had many healings in our family, of broken bones, headaches, fevers, earaches, and sprained ankles, and also of disobedience on the part of our children.
The healing I cherish the most was of grief at the sudden passing on of a daughter in her adult years. This was not a quick healing for me, and there were many prayers and many struggles along the way. But in my healing I realized that grief involved self-pity, and that I needed to be free of this miserable state of thought.
