Terms of employment
Imagine that your employer loved you as his own child! Imagine that the work you were doing would continually increase in reward for you and would also benefit everyone with whom you came in contact. Wouldn't you look forward to each day of working? You would be filled with a boundless energy and enthusiasm! And you would want to reward your employer's confidence by giving your very best.
If this sounds too good to be true, rest assured that it is not only true—it is your job! I'm not talking about the labor you do in exchange for a paycheck. I'm talking about your real employment—reflecting God. You see, the truth is that you are God's child. God is your originator, and you are God's image, the reflection of Spirit, the original.
An explanation about how a mirror works, which I read recently, described a glass backed by aluminum or silver. Then the writer added, "It also needs light in order to work. ..." Spiritual man, God's reflection, has "light in order to work." This true manhood can only be seen in the light of divine Love. Love clears away distortions and misunderstanding so that man is seen as truly reflecting God.
