Healing through abiding in Love
Healing occurs when we know who we truly, spiritually are. It also occurs when we know where we spiritually are.
This knowing of where we are is prayer. God, who is Love, is everywhere present. Love is closer to you than this magazine. And its all-embracing presence covers the whole scene. You know there is love within you for someone or something. Do you know that you are in Love, in divine Love? When we glimpse this in prayer—when we catch even a hint of divine Love's all-presence—we find we are abiding in this Love because we really couldn't be abiding anyplace else.
Human emotion, even the emotion called love, is an unsure thing. The presence and power of divine Love—more solid than Half Dome in the Yosemite Valley in the western United States—is always sure, always there. Mary Baker Eddy writes, "Our surety is in our confidence that we are indeed dwellers in Truth and Love, man's eternal mansion" (Pulpit and Press, p. 3).
